2008:
Busch is currently in 1st place in the series standings and was nominated in three separate categories in the 2008 ESPY Awards: Best Finish, Best Driver and Best Breakthrough Athlete. bBusch Became the youngest driver to win a Cup event at Atlanta and delivered Toyota their 1st Cup Series win, making him tthe first driver to race a foreign nameplate to victory lane in the Cup Series since 1954.
2007:
In 2007, Kyle Busch finished the season fifth in the series standings, recorded one win, 11 top-fives and 20 top-10s. For the second time in career has Made the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. At Bristol Motor Speedway he won the first Car of Tomorrow race. Busch announced that he would be leaving Hendrick Motorsports for Joe Gibbs Racing beginning in 2008.
2006:
2006 saw Busch finish the season 10th overall in series points trailing champion Jimmie Johnson by 448 points. Kyle recorded one win, 10 top-fives, 18 top-10s and one pole while his victory on July 16, 2006 @ New Hampshire was his first NASCAR Sprint Chase for the Cup berth.
2005 :
Busch Finished the 2005 season 20th overall in series points recording two wins, nine top-fives and 13 top-10s. He won the NASCAR Sprint Cup Rookie of the Year and was one of only seven drivers with multiple rookie victories (Davey Allison, Tony Stewart, Earnhardt Jr., Kevin Harvick, Jimmie Johnson, Denny Hamlin). Kyle's first victory came September 4, 2005 @ California Speedway while his 2nd followed on November 13th @ Phoenix International Raceway. Busch's 1st pole came February 27th @ California.
2004:
At the conclusion of the 2004 season, Busch had finished the season 52nd in series points. He ran six races in the #84 CarquestChevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports debuting in his hometown of Las Vegas, Nevada. Busch's best finish was a 24th at the California Labor Day weekend race. He was finally named a full-time driver for Kellogg's/Carquest Auto Parts Chevrolet Monte Carlo Hendrick Motorsports' No. 5 car after Terry Labonte announced limited schedule for 2005-2006.
Previous Racing History:
Despite finishing 2nd in the 2004 NASCAR Nationwide Series standings in his first full-time season, (second only to champion Martin Truex Jr.), Busch won the Raybestos Rookie of the year title. He made seven NASCAR Nationwide Series starts for Hendrick Motorsports in 2003 season and finished a Busch Series high second in his first NASCAR Busch Series race at the Lowe's Motor Speedway in May 2003. Also in 2003, Kyle won two ARCA RE/MAX Series races, as he won races at both the Kentucky Speedway and the Nashville Superspeedway (where he started from the pole position). In 2002, Busch finished eighth in ASA standings, while in 2001, as a 16 year old high school junior, Kyle made six NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series starts for Roush Racing. He had two top-10 finishes before new rule was put into place by NASCAR. Busch started racing Legend Cars at the age of 13 and won two Legend Car championships at his hometown track, the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He ended up with 65 Legend victories from 1999-2001 and won 10 races in 2001 at Las Vegas after a move to Late Model competition.

Kyle's older brother Kurt won the 2004 NASCAR Sprint Cup championship. Kyle graduated with honors from Durango (Nevada) High School in 2002, a year early, to accelerate his racing career. The Kyle Busch foundation sponsors his #51 late model which is driven by Alex Haase and provides essential tools for less fortunate children nationwide. Kyle has personal sponsorship deals in place with NOS Energy Drink and Electric Visual. He is nicknamed “Rowdy Busch” or “Schrub.”
